About the Book
Misfit Maggie, a big Black Lab, has an unusual knack for finding new opportunities. Amos and his family find unconditional friendship and love is their final reward for tolerance and forgiveness of Maggie’s sometimes exasperating antics. This heartwarming and amusing tale of a boy and his oversized dog in a small coastal town is a laugh a minute, with a touch of heroism, and a child’s point of view of the nation’s cooperative effort during wartime.
